Principal's Report 2017

 

As a School, we have experienced the most exciting, rewarding and complete year.  Our achievements are even more significant with our boys at the heart and being the heart of everything this year.

The school continues to take part in numerous extra-curricular activities. Some of the results were: -

1.      5th in Chess

2.      3rd in Football

3.      Zone winners - NAPSAC

4.      2nd place at Champion of Champions

5.      Zone winners in cricket

6.      Swimming champions

7.      Road Tennis Champions

In the recently concluded Common Entrance Exam (2017), our boys averaged 87.63 in English and 86.18% in Mathematics.

These results show that our boys are more than equipped to go forward into their respective schools and dominate.

I am proud to say that the majority of our students come from disciplined homes and nurtured in a very disciplined environment here at St. Cyprian's. This discipline must remain the glue that keeps everything together in our day to environment.

The theme this graduation year was "My Dreams, My Choices, My World". I encourage all students to examine these word and apply them to your everyday habits.

Dream is defined in the Oxford dictionary as a ‘cherished aspiration and ambition of ideal'.

Harvey Mackey once said, ‘when you have a dream that you can't let go of, trust your instincts and pursue it'. But remember: Real dreams take both work and patience. I encourage all my students to dig deep down.  Hardly anyone gets it right the first time.

Attitude, determination and commitment can determine the type of world one creates for oneself. (To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is one of the greatest accomplishments - Ralph Emerson).

We have a very dedicate staff whose selfless contributions, input and love for this job has made this institution one of the best in the island. I thank the staff with all my heart for their contribution.
