St. Cyprian’s advanced to the semi-finals after a strong performance against Bayleys Primary in the quarter-final match played on 25 November. Bayleys Primary won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a competitive 117 for 8 in their allotted overs.
In reply, St. Cyprian’s displayed composure and determination at the crease, successfully chasing the target with 119 for 4, securing victory by 6 wickets with three balls to spare. The win reflected disciplined batting and effective teamwork under pressure.
Semi-Final Match: St. Cyprian’s vs West Terrace
In the semi-final encounter, St. Cyprian’s faced a tough challenge against West Terrace. Batting first, West Terrace scored 104 for 7 from their 25 overs, setting a modest but defendable target.
St. Cyprian’s fought hard in their reply but were eventually bowled out for 104, matching West Terrace’s total. With West Terrace losing fewer wickets, they were declared the winners, bringing St. Cyprian’s tournament run to a close.
Despite the narrow loss, St. Cyprian’s showed resilience, sportsmanship, and commendable effort throughout the competition.
