Adrian Jamaal Cummins was a member of the St. Cyprian's class of 1997. In his final year he was elected Head boy. He did not only shine academically but also in the sporting arena. In 1997 he was Victor Ludorum at the Athletic Sports.
On leaving St. Cyprian’s Preparatory he attended Harrison College Secondary School where he was once again elected Head boy of his class.
While obtaining his degree in Exercise & Sport Science, Adrian was also an All-American water polo player for the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill and captain of the Barbados Water Polo National Team. He obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland - Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, the world's first dental school, and was elected President of the Class of 2013. He continued his advanced training at New York Methodist Hospital where he was also awarded Chief Resident, prior to joining the clinical faculty practice at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2015.
In 2017 Dr. Cummins was appointed a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry - a prestigious induction awarded to only 13% of the practicing general dentists in the United States. This award is the result of an additional five hundred hours of advanced continuing education and clinical training, followed by rigorous examination.
After three years of private practice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Cummins now resides in Maryland with his fiancée Julie and operates his own practice in Silver Spring, Maryland. Cummins Dental Group proudly serves the Maryland/Virginia/Washington D.C metropolitan area and provides comprehensive care ranging from family and cosmetic dentistry to dental surgery.
Adrian has never forgotten his alma mater (Primary School). Yearly he contributes a monetary award to one of the Graduating Students. We wish Adrian continued success is his field.
Sure and Steady Must Succeed – and Adrian Cummins has done just that.
